Your Passage

Jaswant Singh lived in a village high up on a mountain. One evening, he sat at the dining table, about to sip some steaming hot tomato soup. His faithful Labrador, Rambo, nestled at his feet.
It was really still and quiet. All of a sudden, Rambo made a low growling sound- he had heard something. The sound became louder and the legs of the table began to tremble, making little waves in Jaswant’s bowl of soup. The chair shook, the paintings shook and a picture frame fell off a shelf.
Terrified, Rambo whined loudly. Jaswant thought it was a storm, maybe lightning. The sound grew louder and louder and he was thrown off his chair. He picked himself up, ran outside and looked up at the sky - there was no lightning, and there were no clouds. The sky was clear. It puzzled him.
