Unfortunately Indian media is in dire straits. There is no responsibility, no accountability and no professionalism from them.
All the news channels are just busy making money. The content, it seems is made for a six year old child. There is no depth in their reporting. The quality of news reporting is so poor and shameful, it is beyond embarrassing.
They are misguiding the gullible population by sensationalism. Such sensationalism is brain washing the general public and filling them with hatred for a religion or a neighboring country. Indian media likes demonizing without knowing the complete story.
It will lead to grave consequences for India. We already observe increase in number of mob lynchings across India. Such unrestrained reporting is a big contributing factor.
TV anchors have become bigger than the news itself. They do not report news/facts they are busy publishing propaganda's. The actual news or facts are lost when such TV anchors report.
There are lots of areas in India where these media houses could provide credible report like increase in number of deaths due to cancer in a particular district because of dumping of chemical waste without processing. I do not find any such reports although India has more than 500 media houses. It's big cause of concern.
I think it's high time now to make these media houses accountable for what they are reporting. EVERYONE acknowledges this point but the political connections of these media houses make it very hard to punish them for deliberatly publishing incorrect reports.
