Hello Dear,
Here is your answer,
Metallic Hydrides ⇒
Metal hydrides are the compound which are formed by metal and hydrogen , So Basically these are the compound which reacts transition element to form hydrogen.
Examples-→
_________________________
i) CaH₂ - Calcium Hydride
iii) LiBH₄- Lithium BoroHydride
________________________
Molecular Hydrides -
Molecular or covalent hydrides formed by the combination of an element which is having comparable higher electronegativity.
Molecular hydrides are liquid or gases that have low melting & boiling point.
Examples→
______________________
i) H₂O
ii) B₂H₆
iii) PH₃
iv)H₂O
______________________
←←Difference B/w Metal & Molecular Hydrides→→
1)- Metal hydrides having high electrical Conductivity , While Molecular hydirde have Low electrical conductivity.
2)- Metal Hydride having High Thermal conductivity , Molecular Hydride have low thermal conductivity
3)- Metallic hydride are found in solid state while Molecular hydride are soft & volatile in Nature.
Hope it Helps.
