Question :

What are the outside raw materials used for by an organism ?

Answer :

★ Autotrophs use the outside raw materials like carbon dioxide and minerals with the sunlight to make their own food.

★ Heterotrophs use the outside raw materials like readymade organic food for their growth , development and for synthesizing proteins and other substances.

★ Generally oxygen is used by most of the organisms for breaking down the food they eat and to release energy for themselves.

Additional Data :

The process by which autotrophs prepare their own food with the help of carbon dioxide, in the presence of sunlight is known as photosynthesis.

And the process of breaking down the food in the presence of Oxygen and releasing energy for themselves is known as Respiration.
