The world of the children was a limited world. They were restricted within the narrow lane of the slums. The slums were enclosed by the dull sky and it was far away from the freshness of nature. The life of the slum children was full of darkness and hopelessness because of their poverty. Their future was foggy, unwelcoming and monotonous. The situations of the slums were so pathetic that the children staying there did not get a chance to breathe in the fresh open air also.
