2+2 \times 3+2 \times 2+4 \\ \\ 2+6+4+4 \\ \\ \bold{16}

Thus 16 is the right answer.

Such problems have to be done according to BODMAS.

BODMAS is an order of operation to do mathematical problems which is the abbreviated form of,

B - BRACKET

O - ORDER

DM - DIVISION & MULTIPLICATION

AS - ADDITION & SUBTRACTION

Like the expanded form of BODMAS, the order of calculation is also the following.

1. Operations included in brackets.

2. Orders like exponents, square roots etc.

3. Division and multiplication at same time from left to right order.

4. Addition and subtraction at same time from left to right order.

In the given problem,

=> Multiplication should have been done at first. Thus 2 × 3 and 2 × 2 have been done.

=> Then addition of the remaining.

Do not have such problems almost from left to right as the following:

Do not have such problems almost from left to right as the following: 2+2\times 3+2\times 2+4 \\ \\ 4\times 3+2\times 2+4 \\ \\ 12+2\times 2+4 \\ \\ 14\times 2+4 \\ \\ 28+4 \\ \\ 32

Do not have such problems almost from left to right as the following: 2+2\times 3+2\times 2+4 \\ \\ 4\times 3+2\times 2+4 \\ \\ 12+2\times 2+4 \\ \\ 14\times 2+4 \\ \\ 28+4 \\ \\ 32 This is absolutely wrong!!!
