  1. Y belongs to second period as it has 2 shells
  2. X belongs to the 18th group as it is a noble gas and have a duplet configuration(error in question ,I mentioned it at the end of the answer)
  3. Z belongs to the second group as it's valence is +2
  4. The valence of Y is - 2
  5. Z is a metal and Y is a non metal

In second question there is no 18th period there is only 18th group there is a error

(i) element 'Y' belong to 2nd period.

(ii) element "X" belong to 18 group(there is only 7 period and 18 group in perodic table .so there is error in que ).

iii. element Z belong to 2nd group.

iv. valancy of Y is -2.

Element Y can take 2 electron so it is non-metal (electronegative)

Element Z can donate 2 electron so it is metal(electropositive).
