SOLUTION :

given \: sides \: of \: triangle \: are \: 36 \:and \: 48 \: and \: 60 \\ \\ semiperimeter \: (s) = \frac{a + b + c}{2} \\ \\ = \frac{36 + 48 + 60}{2} = 72 \\ \\ using \: herons \: formula \\ \\ = \sqrt{s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)} \\ \\ = \sqrt{72(72 - 36)(72 - 48)(72 - 60)} \\ \\ = \sqrt{72(36)(24)(12)} = 864 \: sq.units

FORMULA USED :

i) \: area \: of \: triangle \: \: = \sqrt{s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)} \\ \\ where \: s \: is \: semiperimeter \: and \: a \: and \:b \: and \: c \: are \\ \: sides
