Direct Variation-If two quantities say X and Y,are related to each other such that an increase or decrease in the value of X produce an increase in value of Y,then two quantities are said to be in direct variation.
Indirect or Inverse Variation-If two quantities, say X and Y,are related to each other such that increase in the value of X produces a decrease in the value if Y and vice versa, then quantities are said to be in indirect variarion.
