(x-1/3)4 = 28

x-1/3 = 7

x = 7+1/3 = 22/3

original fraction is (x-6)/x

((x-6)+3)/x = 2/3

(x-3)/x = 2/3

3(x-3) = 2x

3x-9 = 2x

x = 9

So original fraction is 3/9 = 1/3
