When 1.5v is applied to a piece of tungsten filament it burns into ashes. But it doesn't happen so even at230v when the filament is inside the bulb. Why

Answer:

This is because the bulb is filled with a noble gas and there is no presence of oxygen which is required for burning so filament inside bulb doesn't burn.
