Step-by-step explanation:

let the two no. be 3x and 4x

subtract 5 from each of these no.

we get 3x-5 and 4x-5

According to Question,

the ratio of these new no. is 5:7

then,

3x-5=5

---- -

4x-5=7

now, we have to do cross multiplication,

(3x-5)×7 =(4x-5)×5

multiplying 7 inside 3x-5 and 5 inside 4x-5

21x-35 = 20x-25

21x-20x=-25+35

Answer:- x=10

3x=3×10=30

4x=4×10=40
