when 10 persons shake hands with one another , how many total hand shakes happen without repititions?

It will be 45.

1st person with each other person= 9 handshakes
2nd person with everyone except 1st= 8 handshakes
3rd person with each except 1st and 2nd person = 7 handshakes
4th person with everyone except 1st, 2nd, and 3rd persons = 6 handshakes
.....................this keeps going on till the second last person, the second last person will shake hands with only the lat person. the last person won't shake hands with each individually because everyone has already shake hands with that last person.


So, 9+8+7+6+5+4+3+2+1+0= 45

Therefore 45 handshakes.
