Chemical Equation:
C3H8 + 5O2 ----> 3CO2 +4H2O
According to equation:
1MOLE OF C3H8 produces 3 moles of CO2
As we know that 1 mole of any gas at STP occupies 22.4litres of gas.
so,
22.4litres of C3H8---> 3x22.4 litres of CO2
0.01 litres(10ml) ---->?
so, 0.01 litres of C3H8 gives=3×22.4*0.01/22.4
=3*0.01 litres
=0.03 litres of CO2
= 30ml of CO2 gas
Hence 10ml of propane on combustion produces 30ml of CO2 gas.
