Hey mate the answer is d) 5 .
You can check it by dividing 12 by 5 and then remainder comes out to be 2 and 5-3 is 2 .
Hope it helps you.

Answer:

d) 5

Step-by-step explanation:

For n = 7,

The remainder, when 12 is divided by 7 = 5,

But 7 - 3 ≠ 5,

Thus, n ≠ 7,

Now, For n =8,

The remainder, when 12 is divided by 8 = 4,

But 8 - 3 ≠ 4,

Thus, n ≠ 8,

For n = 11,

Then the remainder, when 12 is divided by 11 = 1,

But 11 - 3 ≠ 1,

Thus, n ≠ 11,

For n = 5,

Then the remainder, when 12 is divided by 5 = 2,

But 5 - 3 = 2,

Hence, the possible value of n  is 5 ,
