We have to find resistance of the resistor.
★ Resistance of resistor can be calculated by using concept of ohm's law
As per ohm's law : At constant temperature, current flow in a conductor is directly proportional to the applied potential difference.
- V ∝ I
Putting proportionality constant,
- V = I × R
R denotes resistance
V denotes voltage
I denotes current
★ Conversion :
• 1000 mA = 1 A
• 2.5 mA = 2.5/1000 = 0.0025A
By substituting the given values,
➠ V = I × R
➠ 12 = 0.0025 × R
➠ R = 12/0.0025
➠ R = 4800 Ω
