When 150 cm3 of water freezes, 162 cm3 of ice is formed. How do you calculate the percentage increase in the volume?

(Final volume-initial volume)/(initial volume) gives you increase in volume.

To find the percentage just multiply it with 100.

So here final V=160, initial V=150.

162-150/150 = 0.08

0.08×100=8%.

This is percentage increase in volume.
