C + O2 ---> CO2

3 g + 8 g ---> 11 g

Here mass of rectants = mass of products

So law of conservation of mass is used.

Now here , Carbon and oxygen combine in the ratio 3:8.

So when 3 g of Carbon is burnt in 50 g of oxygen,only 8 g of oxygen will react. So same, 11 g of Carbon dioxide will be produced

Here, the law of constant proportions is used to get the answer.

Hope This Helps You!

it will also produce only 11 gram of CO2 because 42 gram of oxygen left in excess because it is excess reagent
