consider that fraction as x/y. (x-2)/(y+3)=1/4

4x-8=y+3. 4x-y=11. (1). (x+6)/3*y=2/3. 3x-6y=-18. (2). after solving equations we get. x=4 and y=5. hence that fraction is 4/5
