when 3gram of Na react with water it cause explosion ,i want to know how much area will be affected with 3 gram of Na and i can use a plastic bucket for reaction?

the explosion will only affect are base area covered by Na molecule.
and you can do this experiment openly also in free environment but use proper precautions.

yes on floor also but in an open space where you have nothing to burnt and also pick up the Na with some iron pick because it also reacts with moisture and when you put water in it do it from some distance because it produces some heat also
