N2 + 3H2 ——- 2NH3
So the ratio is 1:3:2;
Therefore ratio of nitrogen to ammonia is 1:3
Hence
1vol of N2 produces 3 vol of NH3;
1 litre of N2 produces 3 litre of NH3;
4*1 litre of N2 produces 4* 3 litre of NH3;
12 litres of NH3 ;
Hence your answer is : 4litres of nitrogen produces 12 litres of ammonia..
