Answer:

1. 80+69=149

2.128+69=197

Step-by-step explanation:

5 times a number =5x

3 times another number =3y

if 5x+3y=149

if in another sum 8x is added to 3y=197

but as you can see in both sum it contains 3y the change is only of 3x because 3x is more in another sum it is 8 x so we will

just minus 197-149 it is 48 but if only 3 x is changed in both sum the theory will be

3x = 48

so if 3x equals to 48 we will take 3 from x and divide it with 48 answer is 16 so x is 16 and if x is 16 means

in first sum 5x = 5 times 16 =80 so if 80 + 3y= 149

149-80=69

so 3 y = 69

so we will divide 69 and 3 ans = 23

y = 23

so final ans of first sum is 80 + 69 = 149

in second sum is 8 x + 3y =197 so as we saw in first sum x = 16 so

8 x =128

3 y = 69

= 128+69= 197
