when 50 g of sugar is dissolved in 100 ml of water , there is no increase in the volume . which characteristic property of matter is illustrated by this observation ?

Answer:

because water has spaces in its particle so when sugar is added it dissolve in water basically it occupies the spaces, so no increase in volume . and it's shows that matter have a lot of space..
