when 50 grams of sugar is dissolved in hundred ml of water there is no increase in volume what characteristics of matter is illustrated by this observation​

It shows that matter have interatomic spaces between it's molecules.

When sugar is dissolved in water sugar molecules occupy the empty spaces between molecules of water so no rise in volume of water is observed.
