20 ml of 0.5M HCL is mixed with 30 ml of 0.3 M HCL. What is the molarity of the resulting solution?

We know that,

M1V1 + M2V2 = M3V(1+2) {where M denotes molarity and V denotes volume}

as, sum of number of moles in individual solution is equal to number of moles in the mixture.

0.5(20) + 0.3(30) = M3(20+30)

19/50 = M3

0.38=M3

hence the molarity of the resulting solution is 0.38
