x:y=2:3 or x is two-third of y or y is three-half of x.

When 50 percent of one number is added to a second number, the second number increases to its four third.

Let one number be 'x' and second number be 'y'.

According to the statement,

50\%\text{ of }x+y=\frac{4}{3}y

Solving the equation,

\frac{50}{100}x=\frac{4}{3}y-y

\frac{1}{2}x=\frac{4y-3y}{3}

\frac{x}{y}=\frac{2}{3}

We get that x:y=2:3 or x is two-third of y or y is three-half of x.1
