Answer:

Answer is in explanation. If you like the answer pl mark me brainliest.

Explanation:

adding 50 mL of water to 50 mL of water will result in a total volume of 100 mL, and adding 75 mL of 100% ethanol to 75 mL of 100% ethanol will result in a total volume of 150 mL. However, when mixing miscible liquids (such as water and ethanol), the final volume of solution is not exactly equal to the sum of the individual volumes. For example, adding 50 mL of ethanol to 50 mL of water will result in a total volume that is less than 100 mL. It is actually closer to 96 mL. Therefore, when preparing volume/volume percent solutions, it is always better to dissolve the solute in solvent and then add additional solvent to bring the total solution volume to the desired final value.

Concept

A non-ideal solution may be a solution that doesn't abide to the principles of a perfect solution where the interactions between the molecules are identical (or very close) to the interactions between molecules of various components.

Given

We are only if 50ml of liquid A mixed with 50 ml of liquid B and  total volume the solution after mixing is found to be less than 100ml.

Find

We have to search out the sort of non-ideal solution which is created.

Solution

Volume of A = 50 ml,

Volume of B = 50 ml

Ideal Solution 50+50=100ml

Non- Ideal solution: less than 100ml (assume 88ml )

As given, the full volume of solution after mixing is a smaller amount than 100ml.

So, Assume Nom - Ideal Solution volume =88ml.

\triangle V_{mix}=88-100=-12 < 0

This condition occurs when the Vapour pressure of the solution is lesser than a should be.

The vapor solution of the solution is lesser, therefore, the solution boils at a higher temperature.

Hence, It is a type of High boiling Azeotrope.
