Answer:

Substitute x=2 in the polynomial and equate it to 13.

6 {x}^{2} + ax + 7 = 13 = > 6 {(2)}^{2} + a(2)

 + 7 = 13 = > 24 + 2a + 7 = 13 = >

 = > 2a = 13 - 31 = - 18 = > a =

 \frac{ - 18}{2} = - 9

Hope it helps you.
