Value of resistance of resistor is 3600 Ω

Explanation:

Given,

Battery = Potential difference= 12 V

Current = 2.5 m A = 2.5 * 10⁻³ A

According to Ohm's law

Potential is directly proportional to the current flowing through the circuit

V = IR

where R is resistance

=> R = \frac{V}{I}

=> R= \frac{12}{2.5 *10^{-3} }

=> R = \frac{12*10^{4} }{25}

=> R = 3600 Ω

or R = 3.6 k Ω
