Answer:

The potential Energy of ball at hieght H

when released gets converted into Kinetic energy

when strike on ground ; some energy gets lost in form of Sound and heat

and ball rebounds due to remaining energy .

this phenomenon is known as Collision .

Answer:

The possible reasons are collision and Newtonian laws.

Explanation:

Reason 1; When the ball is dropped from some height, it rebounds after striking against the floor as in collision, the objects are obvious to rebound. This either could be elastic, perfectly elastic or inelastic collision.

Reason 2; When the ball is dropped from some height, it rebounds after striking against the floor as according to Newtonian law, every objects exerts equal and opposite force over the other. When the ball applies f force on the earth, the earth applies the same f force and makes it to rebound.

Hope it helps! ;-))
