answer : option (d) 35

explanation : initial velocity, u = 3m/s

final velocity , v = - 4m/s [ it's moving in just opposite direction] ]

mass of the ball, m = 5kg

now impulse, J = change in linear momentum

= P_f - P_i

= (mv - mu)

= m(v - u)

= 5kg × (-4 - 3)m/s

= 5 kg × -7 m/s

= -35 Kgm/s

hence, magnitude of impulse is 35 Kgm/s

option (d) is correct choice.
