When a beam of light was passed through a mixture of milk and water, the path of light was clearly visible. Explain why this happens and name the phenomenon. The above mentioned phenomenon is also observed in dense forests. Explain how it occurs there?

when abeam of light passes through water or any liquid the speed light changes as speed of light in air is 3*100000000m/sec changes into 2.25*100000000m/sec in water so it is slightly bents and they are also kn won as lens it is called refraction of light
