The venom present in a bee sting is acidic in nature, which can be neutralized only by the application of a thick paste of baking soda on the stung area of the skin.

Then this area should be covered with a bandage and left for some time to heal the pain completely.

Baking soda or Sodium bicarbonate is alkaline in nature and thus, it can easily nullify the painful effect of the formic acid contained in the bee sting.
