Given:

When a body falls down , its Potential Energy changes from U1 to U2.

To find:

Relation between U1 and U2.

Calculation:

Let's assume that a body undergoes free fall, rotational energy changes from U1 to U2.

Let's assume that U1 was obtained at a height of h from the ground ; U2 was obtained at a height of h1 from the ground.

 \rm{ \therefore \: U1 = mgh\:  \: .........(1)}

 \rm{ \therefore \: U2 = mg(h1) \:  \: .........(2)}

Taking ratio of the two equations :

 \rm{ \dfrac{U2}{U1}  =  \dfrac{mg(h1)}{mgh}  =  \dfrac{h1}{h} }

Hence required relation is :

 \boxed{ \red{ \rm{ \dfrac{U2}{U1}  =  \dfrac{h1}{h} }}}
