We have,
a = ( v - u) /t [ a is acceleration, v is final velocity, u is initial velocity and t is time]
since, the body started from rest, so initial velocity is 0.
Now, a = (v - 0) /2 = v/2
Or, a = v/2
Thus, the acceleration of the body will be half of its final velocity.
