When a bus suddenly starts, the passengers sitting or standing in the bus tend to fall backward?

it's bcoz of inertia of rest I, e every body at rest tries to b at rest unless compelled to do otherwise..... when we are sitting or standing in bus our feet comes in contact with the floor of bus and when bus suddenly moves our feet also move in forward direction along with bus but the rest part of which is not in direct contact with bus tends to b at rest that's why we feel backward jurk

When the bus starts moving suddenly, the lower part of the body of passengers, which is in contact with the bus, come in motion, but upper part of their body tends to be in the state of rest and the passengers fall backward.
