physical change :

when the candle burns the wax begins to melt and changed its shape hence it is reversible since the properties of wax cannot change.

chemical change:

when the candle melts the wick burns and slowly it began to decrease its length and turns into black thus black wick cannot change to white wick so it is irreversible

Answer:

When a candle burns, both physical and chemical changes take place.

Physical change → Melting of wax

Chemical change → Burning of wax

Eating of food is another example where both physical and chemical changes occur simultaneously.

Physical change → Breaking down of larger food particles into smaller particles

Chemical change → Digestion of food
