now as we know candle contains wax then when the candle melts it is an physical change but when the candle solidifies it is a chemical change.

!!!

when a candle burns, both physical and chemical change occurs. yes, both physical and chemical change occurs when a candle burns.

physical change are reversible, here the melting of candle is a physical change as it's reversible and there's no chemical reaction in the wax of a candle.

chemical changes are irreversible and chemical reactions occurs and hence new substance is formed. in a burning candle, only the wick of the candle is being burnt. and as we know burning is a chemical reaction. particles of wick break down into simpler substances and then react with oxygen to give off light and heat.

hence, both physical and chemical changes ccur when a candle burns.
