The speed of a car is more than the speed of insect. So when the car moves in any direction, the insect as it remains stationary it is hit by the car.

But it doesn't actually have to fly forwards very much – nowhere near as much as if it was trying to keep up with the car from the outside. This is because insects are very light, so air has a big effect on them. The air in the car is pushed forwards by the car, and the air pushes the insect forwards.
