Answer: Due to the inertia of direction

Explanation: when a car is moving within the same direction....the velocity of passengers in the car becomes just relative to the velocity of car........so when the car is moving, the passengers indirectly start moving in the same direction of the car......but when the car changes its direction on a curved road....the direction of the relative velocity of the passengers also tends to change which results in the sudden backward force which is exerted away from the imaginary centre of the curved road....this force is generally called centrifugal force ...............so passengers will move right if the car moves at left on the curved road.....
