when a carpet beaten with a stick ,dust comes out of it . explain?​

when we hit the carpet with a stick. it losses it inertia of rest and move forward ,but the dust particles due to their inertia and tendency to remain at rest don't move away. thus they are separated from the carpet.

the dust particles of carpet are at rest ,when it is beaten with a stick ,dust particles changes to state of motion from state of rest .due to inertia, the dust particles come out.
