  2. When a carpet is beaten with a stick, then the carpet comes to motion.
  3. But, the dust particles try to resist their state of rest.
  4. According to Newton’s first law of motion, the dust particles stay in a state of rest, while the carpet moves.
  5. Hence, the dust particles come out of the carpet.

It is because the dust particles in the carpet are in rest position. so when it is beaten with a stick it the dust comes out from it
