If a carpet is beaten with stick then carpet begins to move. But, Particles of Dust are trying to resist Their state of rest. The dust particles remain in State of rest while Carpet moves as Newton's first law of motion.

Thus, Particles of Dust emerge from Carpet .

→ When a carpet is beaten with a stick, then the fibres of the carpet attain the state of motion while the dust particles remain in rest due to inertia of rest and hence dust particles get detached.
