When a certain inductive coil is connected to a dc supply at 240V, the current in the coil is 16A. When the same coil is connected to an ac supply at 240V, 50 Hz, the current is 12.27A. Calculate i) resistance, ii) impedance, iii) reactance and iv) the inductance of the coil. If the supply were to be altered to 60 Hz at 240V, then what happens to the current.

In question, We are given the values of time taken and speed of the cycle to reach from ramesh home to market. To find the distance between the ramesh house and market, we have to multiply speed with the time.

To calculate :

The distance between his house and market = ?

Solution :

To find the distance = ?

We know that,

\quad \red{\underline{\boxed{\sf Distance \ = \ Speed \times Time}}}

Distance = Speed×Time

Put the given values in the above formula.

\implies \sf Distance \ = \ 4 \times 15⟹Distance = 4×15

\implies \sf Distance \ = \ 60 \ meters.⟹Distance = 60 meters.

\begin{gathered} \\ \end{gathered}

Now,

Converting meter into kilometres,

\implies \sf 60 \times 60 \ = \ 3600 km⟹60×60 = 3600km

\implies \sf \dfrac {3600}{1000}⟹

1000

3600

\implies \sf 3.6 \ km⟹3.6 km

\begin{gathered} \\ \end{gathered}

\therefore∴ The distance between the ramesh house and market is 3.6 km.
