When a coin is tossed upwards with initial velocity ( u ) , it's velocity goes on decreasing as gravitational force also acts on the coin .

At some specific point ( depends on initial velocity and angle of projection ) its velocity becomes 0 .

Then because of gravitational force it will move again towards the earth surface .
