When a crystal of copper sulphate is placed at the bottom ofa beaker containing water,the colour of water slowly becomes blue, why?

the copper sulfate form crystals which in hydrated form are blue in colour

because the crystal of copper sulphate which is placed at the bottom of beaker starts dissolving in the water . It goes to the surface of water
