The force experienced is :

1) Zero  when θ = 0° or 180°

2) Maximum when θ = 90°

- The force which is experienced by a current carrying conductor in a magnetic field is :

F = ilB sinθ

- If θ = 0° or 180°, then F = 0

⇒ A current carrying conductor placed parallel to the direction of the magnetic field does not experience any force.

- If θ = 90°, then F = ilB

This is the maximum value

⇒ A current carrying conductor which is placed perpendicular to the direction of the magnetic field experiences a maximum force.
