when a denominator goes to lhs from rhs does its sign change?

No mate,

for example, we have:

4x/3 = -4

Transferring denominator of lhs to rhs we will get:

4x = -4 × 3

4x = -12

x = - 3

It's sign will not change.

No the sign does not change but,

For example:

2 = 8/4

2 * 4 = 8

8=8

In this example you can see the denominator does not changes it sign but multiples with the number on the right hand side.
