Answer:

Number of odd numbers from 1 to 6 = 3

Probability of getting an odd number = 1/2

Favourable Outcomes / Total Outcomes

Placing values in the formula we get, 3/6 = 1/2

Numbers from 1 to 6 which are multiples of 4 = 1

Probability of getting a multiple of 4 = 1/4

Hope this helps you!

 Sample space of total number of outcomes = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}

Number of total outcomes = 6

Odd number = {1, 3, 5} =3

Multiple of 4 = {4} = 1

Hence the favorable number of outcomes for a number to be either an odd number or a multiple of 4 = 3+1=4

Therefore the probability that either an odd number or a multiple of 4 occurs =

fovourable outcomes/

total number of outcomes

=4/6=2/3
