Here, it is given that a dice is thrown

Sample Space :

→ 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

Therefore, Total outcomes = 6

Prime numbers :

→ 2, 3, 5

Therefore, Favourable outcomes = 3

As we know that :

→ Probability = Favourable outcomes/Total outcomes

Now,

=> Probability = Favourable outcomes/Total outcomes

=> Probability = 3/6

=> Probability = 1/2

Therefore, the probability of getting a prime number is 1/2.
